Roy retired in 1962, and we moved to Caddo Lake in Louisiana. It was nice having a lake for a "backyard" except when the "backyard" came into the house! The children and grandchildren enjoyed coming to fish–Charles even made plans to "retire and buy a lagoon like Granddaddy's" when he reached the rope old age of twenty!

Sunsets on the cypress rimmed lake were spectacular.
