It was soon time to start reading stories to the grandchildren–first there was Diana, and then Michael, and then Jimmy, and then Richard, and then Linda, and then Charles, and then Susan! "Snow White," "The Ugly Duckling," and "The Night Before Christmas," were read and reread. Jack had two sons, Dennis and Doug, when he and Rosalyn married, but we missed the "storytelling age" with them and started with the "cookie eating" age.

Words cannot express our sorrow at the loss of Michael in November of 1951. Time has dulled the sorrow, but not our memory of him.
