Joe and Jane Wedding
Roy and Joe both tried to enlist during WWII, but Uncle
Sam said no. Except for anxiety for my two brothers and our many friends,
and the minor inconvenience of rationing and shortages, our lives did not
change much because of the war.
Joe attended Harding College and majored in Campusology as well as Science. He and Jane Zazzi were married in November of 1945, his second year at Harding. They had a lovely formal wedding in the home of Dean Sears on the campus and a reception at a downtown hotel. After graduating from Harding, Joe went to the University of Nebraska for graduate work.
