This was new and beautiful country to us, but there was a depression there, too. After eight months of work on the fruit ranches, or any other work that could be found, we were glad to start back to the farm in Arkansas.

The chores of feeding and watering the stock, cutting wood and all the other hard work didn't seems so bad when there was still time for hunting and fishing.
