Realizing we were to become parents early in 1927, we were anxious to get settled. Joe was born February 8, 1927, and Rosalyn was born 21 months later on October 27, 1928. There was a circus in town the day Rosalyn was born, and Joe was much more interested in the elephants than he was in a baby sister!
